JIDM: Joint Inter-Domain Management
Joint Domain Management (JIDM) is a technology that defines how OSI and SNMP-based network management components work with CORBA-based components. This JIDM architecture enables the construction of gateways to be the same as the construction of a pure CORBA-based network management system, when there is good interoperability with OSI CMIP and SNMP-based IP. It can also be used to perform dual proxies, for example, the proxy supports both Q3 and CORBA. The JIDM specification is defined by a working group under the open group.
