A software platform will connect each individual power consumer and integrate data from different systems and devices, including current grid management systems, smart meters or other smart grids. Equipment, sensors, weather forecasts and even information from social media to monitor and predict grid faults and equipment life. "For example, we can use Google Maps to analyze vegetation information, avoid large trees that may pose a potential threat to the grid cable during grid erection, etc. Once an equipment accident occurs, intelligent software on the 'cloud' side can help maintenance personnel locate quickly."
