Irvine, Calif., January 16, 2017 – Pasternack, Inc., a leading provider of RF, microwave, and millimeter wave components, has launched a new family of phase-locked oscillators (PLOs) designed to deliver exceptional accuracy and stability. These PLOs are ideal for applications such as radar systems, frequency generation, and signal processing, thanks to their low phase noise and minimal clutter performance.
The new PLOs are available in 20 different models, offering six commonly used fixed output frequencies: 50MHz, 100MHz, 500MHz, 1GHz, 2GHz, 4GHz, and 6GHz. They feature outstanding phase noise performance of -105dBc/Hz at a 10kHz offset, along with a buffered output power of +7dBm. Additionally, they provide excellent suppression of second harmonics and spurious signals, reaching -25dBc and -70dBc respectively.
Each unit includes an external frequency reference input (10MHz or 100MHz) and a TTL lockout detection output that alerts users when a loss of lock occurs. The PLOs are RoHS compliant and operate reliably across a wide temperature range from -30°C to +70°C. They are available in both SMA connector and surface mount packages, with options for nickel-plated housing, gold-clad mounting surfaces, and downloadable Gerber files for optimized PCB design.
Designed for rugged environments, these oscillators meet MIL-STD-202 shock and vibration requirements, making them suitable for military, aerospace, and industrial applications. "Our expanded lineup of phase-locked oscillators gives engineers a versatile solution with precise, stable outputs that are essential in navigation, monitoring, communication, and test systems," said Tim Galla, Product Manager at Pasternack. "These 20 innovative designs are built to perform under the most demanding conditions."
