Scope of Application

The portable point load tester is a practical tool used to quickly and lightly measure the tensile and compressive strength of rocks. Unlike traditional methods that require sample preparation, this instrument applies pressure directly to the rock surface, making it ideal for field testing. It's particularly useful for low-strength rocks and offers an efficient, cost-effective way to conduct rock mechanics tests in various industries such as mining, geology, civil engineering, hydraulics, and transportation. Instructions

1. Connect one end of the provided cable to the output connector on the smart load cell and insert the sensor plug securely.

2. Press the white button on the right side of the device to power on the digital display.

3. When no force is applied to the sensor, press the “Clear” button to reset the display to zero.

4. Toggle the peak hold switch to activate the “△” mode for testing. During the test, if the reading drops from the maximum value, record the highest pull value when the display shows “1111” in the upper left corner. After completing the test, note down the data and repeat the process for subsequent experiments.
