Rock Point Load Instrument
Application Scope:
The portable point load tester is a convenient and efficient tool used to measure the tensile and compressive strength of rock quickly and lightly. It uses top and fragment loading methods, which result in lower pressure on the damaged rock sample. This means that no special processing of the sample is required, making it ideal for field testing and suitable for low-strength rocks. The device is simple, cost-effective, and fast, making it an essential tool in various fields such as coal mining, geology, hydraulics, transportation, and construction.
Instructions for Use:
1. Connect one end of the cable to the output connector on the smart load cell and insert the sensor plug.
2. Press the white button on the right side of the meter to power on the digital display.
3. When the sensor is not under any load, press the “Clear†button to set the display to zero.
4. Press the peak hold switch to activate the “△†mode for testing. During the test, when the reading starts to decrease from its maximum value, record the highest pull value displayed at the upper left corner of the screen when it shows “1111.†After completing the test, save the data and repeat the above steps (a and b) for the next experiment.
This instrument is widely used in geological surveys, civil engineering projects, and mining operations, offering a reliable and practical solution for on-site rock strength evaluation.
