GAC Acura-TLX-L adopts the latest family style design of Acura

GAC Acura is set to introduce the TLX at the end of 2017, followed by the hybrid version of CDX in 2018, and the RDX model by the end of the same year. Alongside these new models, Guangzhou Automobile Acura will focus on expanding its offline dealer network, aiming to strengthen its market competitiveness through improved product quality, marketing strategies, and distribution channels. Considering the current state of China's B-segment car market and benchmarking against the pricing of BMW 3 Series, Audi A4L, and the new Regal, it's expected that the domestically produced Acura TLX-L could be priced around 260,000 yuan. The GAC Acura TLX-L closely follows the design language of the concept car, featuring the brand’s latest family styling. The front grille showcases a diamond-like polygonal pattern with numerous small diamond-shaped elements inside. Notably, the vehicle is equipped with full LED headlights, while the interior includes five rectangular LED lights, giving it a futuristic look. The bumper design, side air intakes, and fog light area under the front fascia are consistent with the overseas version previously released, offering a more conservative appearance compared to the concept car unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show. From the side, the new model has a slimmer body than the overseas variant, paired with an 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheel, creating a stable and elegant overall look. Currently, detailed power specifications for the domestic Acura TLX-L have not been officially disclosed. However, based on the overseas model, it is likely to come with 2.4L and 3.5L V6 naturally aspirated engines. The 2.4L engine is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, while the 3.5L V6 engine is matched with a 9-speed automatic manual transmission. The GAC Acura CDX hybrid is expected to feature the i-MMD hybrid system, combining a 2.0L Atkinson cycle naturally aspirated engine, a power control unit (PCU), and a high-power dual motor. The system delivers 158kW (215PS) and is likely to be paired with an E-CVT continuously variable transmission, offering both efficiency and performance.
