A Toshiba LCD TV model 32AV550C was brought in with a boot issue. During startup, the speaker produced a harsh, self-excited sound, and the volume was very low. The first step was to test the power amplifier chip, R2A15112. After injecting a signal, the sound at the 12.25 foot position became louder. Then, the focus shifted to the sound processing block, specifically the R2A15213.
To address the self-excitation problem, a 1UF electrolytic capacitor was used to amplify the input and output pins. This helped reduce the unwanted noise. However, the issue wasn't fully resolved until the peripheral capacitors were replaced.
When the 1-pin capacitor was replaced with a 10UF capacitor, the fault disappeared completely. The repair was successful, and the TV functioned normally afterward.
