Xiaomi Smart Home Suite has built-in Xiaomi intelligent module, which adopts Zigbee networking protocol, which includes four kinds of products: multi-function gateway, human body sensor, door and window sensor and wireless switch.

About ZigBee, more widely known as TI's solution, Xiaomi did not adopt, nor did Freez's ZigBee, nor ATMEL. Instead, JN5168, an industrial-grade ZigBee RF chip from NXP, may have a little understanding of ZigBee. In fact, NXP’s RF department was formerly known as Jennic, and Jennic is the world’s number one. The company introduced a 2.4GHz RF solution and supported IEEE802.15.4 companies, from the first generation JN5121 to the present.

First, a strong kernel
JN5168 has a high-performance 32-bit RISC CPU, which has a breakthrough in data processing and ZigBee networking capabilities, and supports multiple wireless protocol stacks, including ZigBee Home AutomaTIon, ZigBee Light Link, and ZigBee Smart Energy. JenNet-IP and RF4CE provide a strong foundation for the Xiaomi multi-function gateway to quickly access the Internet.

In addition, JN5168 supports hardware automatic retransmission, hardware automatic frame confirmation mechanism, and hardware CCA, which all ensure the successful arrival of data packets and greatly improve the communication efficiency of ZigBee. Moreover, the above parameters of the ZM5168 series module (including all the parameters of ZigBee) can be freely adjusted by the configuration tool, and the ZigBee networking communication can be realized by the configuration of the graphical user interface.

V. Support large-scale networking protocols
Xiaomi smart home kit, although there are only a handful of access devices, but Xiaomi will open the agreement network access interface, the device can join autonomously, can support more nodes, and the node capacity has always been a large variety of ZigBee solutions.
