Recently, the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan issued an announcement to establish the “Energy Efficiency Benchmark for Built-in Light-Emitting Diode (LED) Bulbs in Ballastsâ€, which came into effect on July 1, 2014.
According to the announcement, the built-in light-emitting diode bulbs (hereinafter referred to as LED bulbs) applicable to this standard shall comply with the standard CNS 15630 specification and be announced by the Standards Inspection Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs as the scope of the inspection items. However, if the rated color rendering index (CRI) is above 95, the benchmark is not applicable.
According to the announcement, the luminous efficiency of LED bulbs should be above the value of the attached table. The measured input power of the LED bulb is calculated to the first digit after the decimal point, and the second digit after the decimal point is rounded off; the measured luminous flux is calculated to the whole number, and the first digit after the decimal point is rounded off; the luminous efficiency is calculated to the first digit after the decimal point. The second digit after the decimal point is rounded off.
