Cree XLamp® LED latest reference design

Cree promotes the popularization and application of LED lighting through persevering innovation, and implements the mission of Cree, leading the LED lighting revolution, eliminating low-energy lighting, and fully accelerating the wide application of LED lighting. Cree's innovation stems from the superior brightness, efficacy, color rendering index, thermal performance and reliability of the illuminating grade XLamp® LED devices. This article introduces the reference design of the latest XLamp® series products from Cree, which enables higher lighting performance and lower system cost lighting applications for different areas such as outdoor lighting and indoor lighting.

First, the street lamp module reference design

Generally speaking, outdoor lighting requires high luminous efficiency, high luminous flux, high maintenance characteristics, etc. In addition, it requires more safety protection than indoor lighting, and requires better performance in terms of life and reliability. Light efficiency, light, excellent light quality, longevity and reliability are the strengths of Cree's XLamp® range. For all kinds of street lighting products on the market, we have designed some high-efficiency series products XLamp ® XP-G2, XM-L2, XP-E2 and XT-E devices in the street lighting application, and lighting manufacturers or designers And other industry colleagues to share and discuss design ideas.

1.XP-G2 street light module

Second, the mining lamp reference design

Industrial and mining lamps are generally used in warehousing, production plants and other lighting, usually high power, requiring high light efficiency, high light, long life, light intensity distribution is similar to the LED light source, generally does not require complex large angle secondary light distribution. XLamp® XM-L2 LED, which is 20% more efficient than XM-L, once again sets a new milestone in high-efficiency and light output for single-chip LEDs. XLamp® XM-L2 LEDs deliver up to 186 at 350mA and 25 °C Lm/W, designed for high lumen applications, for industrial and mining lights (high bay lights), outdoor lighting and indoor lighting.

Cree's new XLamp® CXA LED arrays are optimized for simplified design and lower system cost, with a single light source providing 5,00 - 10,000 lm of luminous flux for high lumen output track and downlights, outdoor area lighting And application requirements such as mining lamps. Here we use XLamp ® XM-L2 and CXA2540, CXA3050 LED devices designed for industrial and mining applications, for reference.

Third, downlight reference design


Downlights play an important role in the city's lighting. Whether it is shopping malls, restaurants, hotels, or homes, we may see them. As indoor lighting products, light sources are required to have good color consistency, color stability, and high color rendering index. Comfortable light environment and excellent energy saving (high light efficiency) and so on.

The basic features of the XLamp® CXA15 and CXA25, CXA30 series of six products, ranging from 2,700 to 5,000 K color temperature range, with minimum color rendering index (CRI) 80 and 90 options, good color consistency, and light source size Large, the advantages of lighting applications in large angles are obvious. At 85°C, the XLamp® CXA1512 has a maximum output of 2,100lm (20W); the XLamp® CXA2530 has a light output of 5,920lm (62W) and the XLamp® CXA2540 has a maximum output of 8,000mm (power 86). W). The XLamp® CXA3050 LED is the brightest in the current CXA series with a maximum output of 10,000 lm (100W). The XLamp ® CXA series can be used for downlight designs of different sizes, lumens and color temperatures.
