Wuhan Workers Safety Culture Experience Hall officially opened to use VR technology to carry out safety education

By leveraging VR technology and digital multimedia, the Wuhan Workers Safety Culture Experience Hall brings essential safety knowledge and practical skills to life in an engaging and realistic way. Officially opened on the 25th, the hall is now open to the public at no cost, offering a unique opportunity for people to learn about occupational and public safety through immersive experiences.

The experience hall spans over 1,000 square meters and features six major interactive zones covering construction, fire safety, transportation, gas, home electrical systems, and emergency first aid. In addition to these areas, the facility includes a lecture hall, a safety knowledge competition space, and other interactive learning environments designed to enhance visitor engagement and understanding.

Wang Zhixiong, project manager from China Construction Third Committee General Contracting Company, explained that the hall serves as a real-time simulation education center. Through the use of sound, visuals, lighting, and electricity, it recreates real-life scenarios using exhibition panels, physical models, and interactive games. This approach not only enhances the educational value but also makes learning more engaging and memorable, allowing visitors to feel as if they are right in the middle of various safety incidents.

In the home appliance safety area, reporters observed a full-scale replica of a family kitchen. Visitors can use sensors to explore potential hazards firsthand, while accompanying video animations help reinforce key safety concepts. This blend of hands-on experience and visual learning makes the safety culture more vivid, interactive, and easy to understand.

Li Danfang, executive vice chairman of the Wuhan Federation of Trade Unions, emphasized that the experience hall will be freely accessible to the public from Tuesday to Sunday between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, following the model of social welfare institutions. The city plans to organize employees from all industries to participate in this experiential safety education, ensuring that workers across Wuhan gain valuable knowledge and skills to protect themselves and others in their daily lives.
