AMD First Fusion APU Processor Has Started Shipment

AMD not only displayed the development road map of the next two years, the concept and plan of Fusion APU on paper, but also announced that the first batch of Fusion APU Fusion processors codenamed Ontario and Zacate had officially started shipping earlier today. And earned the first batch of income.

Rick Bergman, senior vice president of product development at AMD, announced this good news at the annual financial analysts conference and presented a new laptop based on the Brazos platform. The processor can be either Ontario or Zacate.

Ontario is mainly for small netbooks, thermal design power consumption is only 9W, Zacate is mainly for thin and light notebooks and mini desktops, thermal design power consumption is only 18W. Both have 1-2 Lynx's new architecture computing core and integrate DX11 GPU graphics cores with 80 stream processors.

It is expected that AMD will officially release the above platform at the CES 2011 exhibition early next year, and related products will also be available in the first half of next year.
