The LED lighting has features such as low power consumption, high luminous efficiency, long life, rich colors, strong controllability, no infrared radiation, and especially its significant energy-saving effect. A mid-sized theater is taken as an example, and the conventional halogen docking light fixture is designed. Lighting power consumption will reach about 650KW, while the use of green light source stage lighting, lighting power consumption is about 180KW, energy saving rate of up to 70%, while the stage lighting system power distribution capacity is also greatly reduced, can save a lot Cables and wires, because the LED lamps are powered by a straight-through power supply and have low power, eliminating the pollution of high-order harmonics generated by the dimming thyristors to the power grid, and saving a large amount of capital investment for the “harmonic suppressor”.

However, there are problems that need to be solved in the lighting of film and television stage. The first is the problem of secondary optical design. With reference to the design concept of “point light source”, the use of free-form surfaces and micro-lens technology to improve the use of LED light effects is studied to solve different problems. The light distribution curve and color rendering requirements of the lamps and lanterns; current LED lamp heat dissipation, drive control and other issues are the direct factors that affect the life of LED light source lamps. Many domestic manufacturers have different opinions about the service life of LED light source lamps. There are 30,000, 50,000, and 100,000, and the standards need to be solved. Internationally, L70 is listed as a standard for assessing the life of LED light sources. That is, when the initial luminous flux of an LED is attenuated to 70% of the initial value, it is recorded as the effective lifetime of the light source; in the domestic LED industry, many companies reduce the luminous flux to the initial value of 50 % as the life standard of the light source.

To increase the service life of LED lamps, attention must be paid to three aspects:

1, chip quality, LED chip is the core component of the light source, affecting the quality of the chip lattice defects, packaging technology and phosphor quality;

2, LED cooling system: The current high-power LED light source luminous flux only reached 100lm / w or so, in theory, only about 1/3 of the electrical energy into visible light, most of the electrical energy into heat. If the heat treatment of the lamp is not good, the temperature of the PN junction of the chip will rise, and the LED chip will be damaged quickly;

3, drive power: This problem is easily overlooked, usually the life of the LED chip is much longer than the life of the drive power supply, LED lights often do not shine, after inspection found that the chip is not damaged, but the drive power supply failure, at present, very good The drive power life has exceeded 30,000 hours.

The reality that must be taken into account is that China’s LED companies have relatively little independent intellectual property rights, and the core patents with a negotiating status are very scarce. There is also a lack of cooperation between companies based on complementary interests. Blind expansion of production companies has also led to vicious competition for products. Currently, there are no professional products for high-power LED modules that emit more than 200 W on the market. The potential of traditional high-energy tungsten-halogen light fixtures is enormous.

Chang'an Grand Theatre in Beijing has replaced all the stage lighting with energy efficient LED lighting, making it the only theater in the world that uses low-carbon lighting. By the end of 2008, there were more than 2,000 art performance venues in all provinces and cities across China, nearly 1,000 large and medium-sized theaters, more than 2,000 TV stations, and nearly 5,000 studios. Such as the implementation of "green lighting project" in the domestic cultural venues, that is, the implementation of green lighting program in 100 theaters, will save nearly 50 million kilowatts of electricity, research and promotion of green light source stage lighting demonstration applications, will have very considerable economic benefits and Social benefits.
