Sony PS Vita Japan Opens Up to Line Up Like Apple

Sony PS Vita launches in Japan December 19th, according to BGR, Sony's new handheld game console, the PlayStation Vita, was launched in Japan and attracted thousands of fans to queue up for purchases. The event is unprecedentedly comparable to Apple.

More than 300 enthusiasts lined up to purchase PlayStation Vita before the opening of a digital product chain in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. Before that, most of them had already booked via the Internet.

Sony PlayStation Vita was launched at this year's E3 show and is Sony's heavyweight after PlayStation 3. Sony has suffered losses for four consecutive years. The successful listing of the PlayStation Vita will partially offset the negative impact of the company's mismanagement of other businesses.

The PlayStation Vita will be available in the United States on February 22 next year for $249.99. The AT&T 3G-compatible version will cost $299.99.
