Sipex announces the SP7680, a 7-channel, charge pump-based lighting management product for mobile display and keyboard LED backlighting.
The SP7680 is used in backlighting applications for the main screen, secondary screens and indicators. The seven LED drive channels are divided into three groups of four channels, two channels and one channel. The LEDs can be configured in countless combinations to meet various lighting needs. Each group can be programmed independently via the I2C interface.
The SP7680 charge pump features 1x and 1.5x gain and a 0.2V drive voltage differential to maximize efficiency and extend the minimum voltage input range. With only four small capacitors and a 3x3mm QFN16 package, only a small amount of board space is required.
