The development trend of LED lighting design and development


Abstract: This paper studies and analyzes the transformation of LED lighting will expand people's lighting concept. LED in the 21st century residential lighting design will more reflect the development trend of energy saving, health, art and humanization.

The lighting of the living room is inseparable from the lighting, and the lighting is a concentrated reflection of the lighting. It is not only a tool for completing the function of the living room building, creating visual conditions, but also a part of the decoration of the living room, and a unity of lighting technology and architectural art. Modern lighting not only plays a role in lighting in the living room, but also is a major part of creating a living environment. The use of luminaire styling and the coordination of light color can make the living room environment have a certain atmosphere and artistic conception, embody a certain style and personality, increase the beauty of architectural art, and make the indoor space more in line with people's psychological and physiological needs and aesthetic taste. As a new type of lighting technology, LED has attracted worldwide attention. Especially high-brightness LEDs have been hailed as the most valuable light source in the 21st century, which will definitely lead to a new revolution in the field of lighting. Since the appearance of white LEDs, both the principle of illumination and the functions have advantages that other traditional light sources cannot match. Therefore, LED lighting has become a trend in the field of residential lighting in the 21st century. LEDs will replace traditional incandescent lamps and fluorescent lamps. Lighting fixtures have faced serious challenges. The content and form of luminaire design is mainly light. The new LED light source has promoted the innovation of lighting design and development, which has changed our lighting concept to a large extent, so that we can liberate from the limitations of traditional point and line source, luminaire design. The language and concept can be freely played and re-established. The lamps have more flexibility in the visual expression of perception and form, and the room lighting fixtures will be more energy-saving, healthy, artistic and humanized.

First, energy saving

Research data shows that because LED is a cold light source, semiconductor lighting itself does not have any pollution to the environment. Compared with incandescent lamps and fluorescent lamps, the power saving efficiency can reach more than 90%. At the same brightness, the power consumption is only 1/10 of that of an ordinary incandescent lamp and 1/2 of a fluorescent tube. If we replace 50% of our current traditional lighting with LEDs, the amount of electricity saved in China is equivalent to the sum of the power generation of a Three Gorges Power Station, and its energy-saving benefits are considerable.

Second, health

The LED is a green light source. LED lamp DC drive, no stroboscopic; no infrared and ultraviolet components, no radiation pollution, high color rendering and strong directionality; good dimming performance, no visual error when color temperature changes; cold light source Low heat and safe touch; these are not possible with incandescent and fluorescent lamps. It not only provides comfortable lighting space, but also satisfies people's physiological health needs. It is a healthy light source that protects vision and is environmentally friendly.

Since the current single LED has low power and low brightness, it is not suitable for use alone, and assembling LEDs together to design a practical LED lighting fixture has broad application prospects. The luminaire designer can determine the shape of the optical system of the luminaire, the number of LEDs and the power according to the requirements of the illumination object and the luminous flux. It is also possible to design several LED illuminating tubes into a secondary source of point light source, ring light source or surface light source. The luminaire is designed according to the combined secondary light source.
